How to make LDPE shrink film?

To make LDPE Shrink Film, the process generally involves the following steps:

  1. Extrusion: Melt LDPE resin and extrude it through a flat die to form a thin film.
  2. Quenching: Rapidly cool the extruded film by passing it over a chilled roller to set its initial dimensions.
  3. Stretching: Reheat the film and stretch it either uniaxially (in one direction) or biaxially (in two directions) to align the polymer molecules.
  4. Cooling: Cool the stretched film to lock in the molecular orientation, giving it shrink properties.
  5. Winding: Wind the film onto rolls for storage and later use.

This process results in a film that shrinks when heated, providing a tight and secure packaging material.
