Recently I bought this amazing atn digital night vision scope www.atncorp.com/ and now hunting has become even more convenient. My point is that ATN was founded in 1995, and today is the leading Tech Optics company, so it is highly recommended by the way. Hope it will make sense for you
Assuming you have already shot your rifle and after learning how to use your open sights and deciding you want or need magnification, it's just a matter of how much you need.
I shoot exceptionally well with open sights if I can see the target. Suppose it's a tiny target; I can't hit it if I don't see it. Also, having a scope is excellent when shooting paper since I don't have to wait for a cease-fire at the range to check out the target to see where I hit, so there is instant gratification like shooting steel.
I put scopes on my .22s because I practice with them for when it matters, which is hunting. My hunting rifles are scoped, and I can't afford to practice shooting with a .300 win mag as I can with a .22 and .223.
