Jallian wala bagh is a 6.5-acre public park that holds the national importance of a pre-independence massacre. It is one of the most important places to visit in Punjab to pay homage to the martyrs killed in the Jallianawala Bagh massacre, which took place on-site on the festival of Baisakhi, April 13, 1919.


3. Rock Garden Chandigarh


Regarded as one of the most beautiful places to visit in Punjab, the Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a sculpture garden designed for rock enthusiasts. It consists of some most impressive rock sculptures and species of rock statues along with the incredible love & passion of Nek Chand Ji, the founder of this Rock Garden, Chandigarh. Open on all seven days a week, it is famous for being the most eco-friendly garden in India and is perfect for a family picnic at the weekend.



4. Zakir Hussain Rose Garden


Here is another famous place from Chandigarh that is solely dedicated to roses and celebrated as a tribute to the magnificence of roses. Offering more than just roses and sightseeing, this beautiful garden-cum-adventure park has foods, drinks, joyrides, and contests of varying nature, including photography, gardening, landscaping, bonsai, and rose prince & princes. Spread over 30-acres, Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is Asia’s largest garden with over 1,600 different species of roses from all over the globe.

5. Wagah Border


Thousands of civilians and tourists from Amritsar visit Wagah Border to witness the everyday ceremonies. Gate closing ceremony between India and Pakistan, also known as Beating The Retreat ceremony, has become a significant attraction of Amritsar over the last decade. The purpose of this ceremony is to close the border for the night and take off the national flag. However, this entertainment ceremony turns out to be a pathetic performance every day with patriotic slogans
