Electric vs. pellet smoker
Permalink

Lets discus about Electric Smoker vs Pellet Smoker An electric smoker produces heat, steam (via a water pan), and a bit of smoke – which does impart some flavor to the meat. A pellet smoker however, produces heat, and lots of smoke, gases, and solids via combustion. ... The difference in flavor is a major distinction between the two types. Is an electric smoker the same as a pellet smoker? Both pellet and electric smokers work like convection ovens. With a pellet smoker, the source of heat comes from the combustion of pellets. With an electric smoker, the source of heat comes from an electric element. Basically exactly the same thing as the element found in the bottom of an electric kettle, only larger.
