Does unplugging router change IP address?

Hello friends,
If you're on a residential connection, then yes, if you unplug your router and plug it back again after some time, it's external IP will change. It means every 8 hours, the IP address expires and your device has to request a new IP address from the DHCP Server. If you turn off your router to turn.
For more info-

Thank You

Unless you are specifically purchasing a fixed IP address from your provider , you are not guaranteed to keep the same IP address; however most ISPs have set up their equipment such that if you power down your router, they preserve your IP address when you come back on-line. It is just easier for them to do this , but it is possible that they change your IP address without warning on a power down. I have had the same IP address for 5 years at my home, and if it ever changed it would be inconvenient for me, but so far it has not changed coz it's dedicated ip. If you want to change your ip everytime you turn router on and off, use a vpn. Want to know more check here out at https://www.purevpn.com/download/router-vpn

and if you want not to change your ip just get a dedicated ip from your ISP.
