10 BUILDINGS THAT USE LED LIGHTING
Permalink

The skylines of our cities are changing. Not only are buildings getting taller, they're also becoming brighter and more colourful thanks to low energy LED Lights. The following are just 10 buildings from around the world that are now lighting-LED.

1. Agbar Tower (Torre Agbar), Barcelona, Spain. The 38-story skyscraper situated at the entrance to Barcelona's technological district uses 4,500 independently-controlled LED luminaires to display colour and images. See it in action here.

2. Empire State Building, New York. Completed in 2012, the Empire State Building's new computer-controlled LED Lighting system is capable of producing millions of different colours.

3. Canton Tower, Guangzhou, China. The fourth-tallest freestanding structure in the world, the Canton Tower glows at night with the power of 7,000 LED light fixtures.

4. Miami Tower, Miami. Installed in 2012, Miami Tower's £1.5 million LED lighting system isn't exactly cheap. However, it does look awesome.

5. Luminous, Darling Quarter, Sydney. Situated in Syndey's refurbished Darling Quarter, Luminous is a fully-interactive LED lighting display that synchronises to music and even allows visitors to play with the lights. Discover more about it here.

6. National Library of Belarus in Minsk. The building is an impressive feat of architecture in its own right, but at night the geometric dome springs to life with thousands of programmable colour changing LED lights.

7. The Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi, via My Modern Met. The famous hotel sports an impressive 5,000 computer-controlled LED lights.

8. Flame Towers, Bakhu. These towers really need to be seen to be believed. Check out this video of them in action.

9. GreenPix Zero Energy Media Wall, China. Effectively a huge television screen, the GreenPix Zero Energy Wall uses 2,292 LED Light points and is equivalent to a 24,000 sq ft TV. Imagine playing your Xbox on that!

10. Rogier Tower, Brussels, Belgium. Belgium's tallest building is also probably one of its brightest. There's definitely no missing that at night. The lights can even be programmed to act as a thermometer.

Feel free to drop us a comment below with any buildings that we've missed. And don't forget to check out the Wholesale LED Lights store for all your LED lighting needs.
